CARNIVAL OF THE ANIMALS

Astraios presents a new version of Camille Saint-Saën's beloved "Carnival of the Animals." Transcribed for piano four hands by Lucien Garban and arranged by Michael Jones for flute, bassoon, viola, trumpet, and percussion, this performance stays true to the piece's original humorous intent while exploring new instrument combinations.
This performance is available as individual tracks down below, a playlist, or as a complete concert including Ogden Nash's lighthearted poems for each movement. We are also providing a free downloadable discussion guide for teachers.
Thanks to funding from Frisco Arts Foundation and the Texas Commission on the Arts, we are pleased to make these videos available at no cost this year. If you find these resources helpful, we hope that you or your PTA will consider making a  donation to Astraios so we can continue our programming for years to come.
